Mark is our lead Governor for safeguarding at Beech Grove Primary.

Mark is very involved with our school and frequently visits to check our systems and speak to the children and staff. We are delighted to have his support and expertise as we continue to develop our practice and provision at Beech Grove.

"I have lived in Wellington with my wife for thirty six years. All three of our children went to and flourished at Beech Grove school. I care passionately about our area and local services. This is why I am one of the Wellington Town Councillors as well as one of the Governors of this school.

I have worked with youth services for many years and have been on the Restorative Justice Panel – a cause I firmly believe in. 

I took on the role of Lead Governor for safeguarding as I believe this is an important role to support and oversee the staff's work in keeping all the children of the school safe from harm and providing an environment in which children can learn and develop in becoming the best they can be".                  Mark Lithgow
